Câu trả lời mẫu:
I have once been at Cox's Bazar for about a week and really enjoyed my visit there. Cox's Bazar is considered to be the largest sea beach in the world and it is beside the Bay-of-Bengal. We had the trip to visit the sea, beach and natural beauty of this place.

Three of our friends including me went there in 2010 probably around June. This was a good time to visit the sea beach. We stayed at hotel which was very close to the sea. We could hear the roaring sounds of the sea from our hotel especially at night. The sea seems endless and this was my first time to see the vastness of the sea. I tried to imagine the position of the other shore of the sea and the depth of it and after sometimes abandoned this silly idea! I was really surprised when we took a motor-boat to visit a nearby island. All I could see was water around us. The waves were so enormous and high that I thought this would hit us hard and our boat would sink. I am not ashamed to disclose that I was bit frightened about the big waves and our small boats.

At night I walked beside the sea, I watched the lives surrounding the sea, people and their culture. The moon looked like a hanging light in the wall on the other side of the sea. The sea looked less formidable at night except the sound which was louder at night. The people, tourists from different locations, local people, fishermen, the long sea beach and the sea exposed a life and place that we never knew about. I enjoyed fresh foods and fishes, different culture of people, the vastness of the sea, the hotel, the working class people and their mildness and have planned to visit the place again whenever possible.

Part 3

1. What do you think are the functions of rivers nowadays?

Rivers have various functions. In the UK, they were probably more important in the past because they were used for the transportation of goods, but I suppose this is still the case in many parts of the world. Rivers can be used as a source of renewable energy in the production of hydro-electric power, and they are also a source of fresh water for drinking and irrigation. Leisure activities are another function: fishing, canoeing, swimming, bathing... I'm sure there are many other things I haven't thought of.

2. What do you think of boats and ships as forms of transportation?

I'm not really a fan of boats and ships. If I'm going abroad, I like to get to my destination quickly, so I prefer travelling by plane. Of course, ships are vital for the transportation of oil and other heavy cargo.

3. Why do some people like to live near rivers, lakes or the sea?

Well, the view is probably a major factor; most people like to look out to sea, or across a river or lake. I'd much prefer to look out of my window onto a natural landscape than an apartment building in a city. Then there's the lifestyle: if you live by the sea, for example, you can lie on the beach, go for a swim, or do water sports like surfing or waterskiing. I definitely wouldn't mind living near a beach at some point in my life!

Let me tell you about my travels at the end of 2012 to the Great Barrier Reef, which is located in the Coral Sea, off the coast of Queensland, Australia. I was keen on going there because it is a paradise for travelling and photography.

I stayed there for about ten days with my family. I really enjoyed the laid-back beach, experienced the memorable diving trips to see the magnificent coral and the magical marine life; moreover, I once picked one of the fantastic and uninhabited islands to camp for two days. Besides, I took my camera with me to capture the stunning natural scenery, the painted sunset for example. It is really a memorable trip.

I once watched a BBC documentary introducing the Great Barrier Reef, I was attracted by the colourful undersea world and the superb scenery. Moreover, I would like to go there with my son. I want him to experience the natural wonders during his childhood as well as getting close to it.

Part 3:

1. Why do so many people like going to places with water, such as lakes, rivers or the ocean?

Well I guess the main reason is that water has a kind of calming effect on people. And when you consider all the stress that people are under these days, then I think it's easy to understand why people gravitae to places near water.

2. What kinds of leisure activities do people like to do in places such as on the ocean, or at a beach?

All kinds of things really, you know, some people like doing exciting things jet-skiing or scuba diving, while others prefer doing more relaxing things, such as just lying dow on a desk chair with a book. So it really kind of varies!

3. As a place to spend some leisure time, do you think the seaside is more suitable for children or old people?

That's very hard to say, because personally I think the seaside is a good place to go for both the young and old, bu in terms of which age group it's more suitable for, then I suppose I'd have to say the elderly, simply because they are more aware of the dangers of the ocean. So if children go to the beach, their parents need to keep a close eye on them.

4. What activities would you do if you were spending some leisure time at a beach?

I think I would do a few things. For example, I would definitely go padding in the sea, beause I always enjoy doing that whatever I go to the beach, and It's much less effort than swimming! So that's one thing, and what else would I do? Um... well, I suppose another thing I would probably do is just lie on the beach, which I know is quite boring, but It's also really relaxing - you, know you can just close eyes and listen to the sound of the waves crashing against the shore.

5. Do you think the government should invest money in developing facilities for water sports?

No, not really. Because I think there a lot more important things that the government should focus on. I mean, after all, water sports are purely recreational, so If no money's invested in them, then It's not really going to have a significant effect on anyone. So I think the government could put their money to much better use by investing in things such as education and healthcare, which will make a much bigger difference to people's lives.
